This year, we’re celebrating our 20th birthday at EducationCity! Over the past two decades, we’ve worked with schools across the UK to support teaching and learning by creating an ever-growing bank of resources to meet the latest curriculum requirements and teaching practices.
Now we’re looking forward to how we can continue to evolve EducationCity over years to come to support you with the time and workload challenges you face every day in the classroom. With this in mind, we are beginning our journey towards becoming an integrated assessment and curriculum content resource.
After looking at the current and future educational requirements for assessment, we decided to start by improving and expanding our range of assessments.
This has involved our team of educators writing over four thousand new assessment questions – all in line with the curriculum, and in a style that helps build children’s confidence for SATs-style questions for English, maths and science.
And, we’re delighted to say that over the summer, we’ll be adding over 90 new assessments to English, maths and science, including formative, summative and unit assessments, ready for the start of the 2019/2020 academic year!
The development of our new Assessments is just the first step in this journey, which will see us into next year and beyond. We’re looking to add detailed data visualisation for assessment results, and new and improved Revision Journals that identify resources to support the development of children’s foundational skills. Beyond this, we’ll also be able to offer you functionality that will let you build and deliver your own assessments too!
By combining this with our flexible curriculum resources, we hope to be able to help save valuable time and provide actionable insights to help connect the dots in each student’s understanding, assist you with ability grouping and inform your lesson planning too – all with the aim of raising attainment for each and every one of your students.
