Deaf Awareness Week: 2nd-8th May

Deaf Awareness Week is taking place from 2nd to 8th May this year, and the theme ‘Common Purpose’ aims to help everyone better understand the issues that deaf people can have relating to others.

 

To tie in with the event, we here at EducationCity have produced some new resources to support the ‘Common Purpose’ theme. They focus on increasing students’ awareness of deafness, exploring different means of communicating with deaf people and learning about famous people with partial or total deafness.
