October is Black History Month

Don’t forget that it’s Black History Month this month.

We’ve some great Topical Resources to give you a helping hand which include Fact Sheets, Lesson Plans and thought-provoking ThinkIts. They cover a whole range of topics, such as the awful conditions people faced on slave ships, why Rosa Parks wouldn’t give up her bus seat and Martin Luther King’s famous speech.

We also look at Martin Luther King’s personal story and the history of the Civil Rights cause so students can see the progress that has been made for themselves.
