Easter is fast approaching now, so before you leave, we wanted to let you know what will be coming up on EducationCity next term.
Space Day
Space Day falls on the 2nd May this year. Its goal is to nurture young people’s enthusiasm for the universe and inspire future generations to continue the work of today’s space explorers. It’s a great opportunity to teach children about the solar system and recent space missions, but also a really fun backdrop for children to develop their creative writing skills. Our cross-curricular Topical Resources, highlighting useful Activities and Topic Tools, include ThinkIts, Fact Sheets, Lesson Plans and Activity Sheets, and are available now by clicking here!
PlayLive French
PlayLive French will be the last addition to EducationCity before we make the switch to our new, improved V2 and will be coming to a screen near you*, free of charge, after the Easter break.
It’s a quick-fire, competitive challenge, like its Maths and Literacy counterparts, and ideal to help pupils put their language skills into practice, as well as revise topics they’ve already covered.

*Access to EducationCity’s KS2 (or equivalent) French module is required.
V2 Webinar Programme
A great deal of work is taking place behind the scenes to prepare for our V2 launch at the end of the Summer Term. To ensure you’re prepared for the switchover, we’ll be inviting you to join one of our webinars, which will cover everything you could possibly need to know. More details to follow soon.
Walk to School Week: 19th-23rd May
Working with the organisers of Walk to School Week, Living Streets, we’ll be bringing you some fantastic Topical Resources, which encourage families to make the change and startwalking to school; uncovering the multitude of benefits in doing so.
A change to walking, even part of the way to school or on certain days, has so many benefits and in some cases, could be just the catalyst that’s needed to bring about a more permanent change.
