Sport Relief, the nation’s favourite sports day, is back on Friday 21st March 2014. It provides the perfect opportunity to bring the whole school together to get active, have fun and help others. So put the date, Friday 21st March, in the school calendar now and make sure your students don’t miss out.
The official Sport Relief website includes lots of great ideas on how your school can “join the fun and games”, be it by running, swimming, cycling or doing something else. There are thousands of Sport Relief Games being run up and down the country between Friday 21st and Sunday 23rd March, so check out what’s happening near you by entering your postcode here.
In addition to this, Comic Relief, the organisers of Sport Relief, have created a host of resources to help schools make this the biggest Sport Relief ever. The downloadable Primary Fundraising Pack contains everything your school needs to make your Sport Relief event a hit including posters, activity packs, fundraising ideas, printable stickers and more.
What’s more, they’ve curriculum-linked learning resources too, to help your students understand who benefits from the money raised. They follow a day in the life of a child worker carrying out back-breaking work in a gold mine in Northern Ghana.
Whatever you’re doing for Sport Relief, we hope you have a lot of fun doing it.
