We are only two days away from celebrating raising awareness of conserving the Earth. This week we have featured some complementary activities and puzzles alongside our Earth Day resources. We hope that your class have enjoyed using these and are now focused on becoming greener citizens!
Suggested Earth Day Activity
Start your lesson by using the Yasuni National Park factsheet to educate your pupils on the problems which Yasuni would face if the drilling for oil in the park continued. Then why not try our Woodland Wander activity, so your pupils can get an idea of the different species which typically live in a forest.
With the Woodland Wander activity your pupils must decide which creatures might be found in the different parts of the tree and forest floor.
This activity is in the science subject and is available in the following years and regions:
- England: Year 2
- Scotland: First *
- Wales: Year 2
