Literacy Play Live Winners Revealed!

Congratulations to Year 5 class 5MC from the Richard de Clare school in Halstead, Essex! They are winners of our Literacy Play Live competition which we had running during National Storytelling Week, last week.

Class 5MC teacher, Mr Mark Claydon, has found that the pupils in his class are very enthusiastic and love to compete against each other, which he feels makes learning not only fun but spontaneous too! He has also noticed an improvement in the classroom since using Literacy Play Live and found that around 97% of the 62 pupils in Year 5 are going on Literacy Play Live on a regular basis.

He also adds:

“The children in my class at Richard de Clare, Halstead love playing Play Live! We have weekly challenges on who can beat the teacher (The Boss), and the weekly champions chart is eagerly awaited each Monday morning. I, as a teacher, love the game as well. The highest score is 72 points as shown in the screenshot.”

We would also like to say a massive well done to St. Bedes Catholic School in Redditch, who were runners up.

Everyone that took part, did a superb job!

Also congratulations to our own EducationCity.com employee –  Maths Producer, James, who managed to beat Ellen in our internal Play Live competition with … 85 points!

It is great to see that Play Live is such a responsive yet fun activity in the classroom and that not only children love it, but teachers do to!
