The farm houses some very interesting inhabitants including some adorable alpacas, cheerful chickens, gallant geese and some very shrill sheep. The park has been closed to the public since the early 2000s and while continuing to operate as a farm, it’s now hoping to reopen to the public in July.
A considerable amount of work is required to get to that stage, and EducationCity’s Content & Curriculum Team were ready to help in any way they could. They cleared trees, dodged geese, painted stables, cut down old chicken wire and met a giant cow called Chocolate Drop. The day was not just highly moo-tivating for everybody, it also greatly helped the park keep on track for its return. You can find more information about Rutland Farm Park on their Facebook page.
Everyone on the team had a great time! You can find more photos of their thoroughly enjoyable day below.
