English Challenge Week: Curious Comprehension

It’s Day 4 of EducationCity’s English Challenge Week today and today’s focus is on comprehension.

We’ve highlighted a whole range of Learn Screens, Topic Tools and Activities, as well as the comprehension resources within our Teacher Resource Pack, in Wednesday’s part of the English Challenge Week Toolkit.

The Playing with Meaning Topic Tool is especially worthy of a look as it will help you and your students explore how using alternative words (with the same or different meaning), can make a piece of writing much more exciting to read.

Challenge: Ask your class to read and review a book. What did they like about it? What didn’t they like?
