October is Black History Month and is celebrated across the UK. To mark the occasion and allow students to learn more about Black History, we have some great Topical Resources on this subject for you.
There are Fact Sheets, Lesson Plans and thought-provoking ThinkIts covering a whole range of topics, such as the awful conditions people faced on slave ships, why Rosa Parks wouldn’t give up her bus seat, and Martin Luther King’s famous speech.
We also look at Martin Luther King's personal story and the history of the Civil Rights cause, so students can see the progress that has been made for themselves.
