Today in the EducationCity.com office we are focusing on Learn Screens, which are often overlooked. A Learn Screen is an area attached to an activity where you can review the content of that activity. They are safe, stress free environments. The student can explore and interact with the material that is in the activity without a right/wrong format and without being timed. Learn Screens are complimentary areas of content.

Help your pupils learn how adjectives create vivid images within a story with the new Treasure Traps Learn Screen in Literacy. Once you have done this, you can then revise your adjectives with the Treasure Traps activity. In the activity, the pupils help Klara Loft escape from the treasure traps by replacing certain words in sentences with adjectives. Not only is this a great way to get imaginative within a story but it also helps with the use of adjectives.
The Treasure Traps Learn Screen is available in the following years:
- England: Year 3
- Scotland: First ***
- Wales: Year 3
- Northern Ireland: P6
The Learn Screen and Activity are supported by Teacher Notes, a Lesson Plan and a worksheet.
