Road Safety Week runs from 21st-27th November and this year, Brake, the road safety charity and organisers, are asking everyone to look out for each other, because by changing our driving behaviour we can help to make roads safer.
What does that mean in practice?
It means calling all drivers to protect pedestrians and cyclists by slowing down and taking care in built-up areas, looking longer at junctions, taking it slowly around bends and giving people plenty of room.
It’s a great time of year to reinforce the importance of staying safe on our roads as a pedestrian, cyclist or when travelling in the car and our Road Safety resources include fab Fact Sheets, Lesson Plans and ThinkIts to support you in doing this.
