Sport Relief, the nation’s favourite sports day, is back on Friday 18th March 2016. It provides the perfect opportunity to bring the whole school together to get active, have fun and help others. So put the date, Friday 18th March, in the school calendar now and make sure your students don’t miss out.
The official Sport Relief website includes lots of great ideas on how your school can “do itself proud”, be it by running, swimming, cycling or doing something else. There are thousands of Sport Relief Games being run up and down the country between Friday 18th and Sunday 20th March, so check out what’s happening near you by entering your postcode here.
In addition to this, Comic Relief, the organisers of Sport Relief, have created a host of resources to help schools make this the biggest Sport Relief ever. The downloadable Primary Fundraising Pack contains everything your school needs to make your Sport Relief event a hit, including posters, activity packs, fundraising ideas, printable stickers and more.
What’s more, they’ve learning resources too, to help your students understand who benefits from the money raised, both here in the UK and overseas, including 10-year-old Champa, who lives in a slum in Bangladesh.
Whatever you’re doing for Sport Relief, we hope you have a lot of fun doing it.
