Spotlight on Stephanie Chambers – Assistant Producer

I’m Stephanie Chambers and I just started my first week at EducationCity as an Assistant Producer. I’ll give a quick introduction of myself. I am originally from Ontario, Canada and moved to the UK two years ago. I graduated from McMaster University with an honours degree in Communications and Multimedia in 2012. I also have a background in graphic design from Mohawk College. I am a huge fan of teaching and learning and can’t wait to use my past experiences to help with my job as an Assistant Producer.

My first week introduced me to the different departments around the company. I really enjoyed hanging out with the Art Department and seeing how they produce all the wonderful graphics! I’ve had a lot of time to learn more about the product and understand how to make our content exceptional. I have also had the opportunity to give some input into resources that EducationCity is creating for National Science and Engineering Week.

My team have been very welcoming and are always there to answer any questions. There was a lot of information to take in on my first day. Although it was overwhelming, I was glad to get a rundown of the company which helped over the following days. I’m starting to feel settled in and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Fun Fact: There are Bake-Offs to raise money for charities. Baking is my guilty pleasure and I’m excited that I have an excuse to buy more baking gear.
