Before we go any further though, let us tell you a little more about our corporate charity work…
As you may or may not be aware, Edmentum is our parent company, a US company, who own a suite of solutions, including us, EducationCity.
We share Edmentum’s vision of giving all children globally the opportunity to learn and succeed, and they are making this vision a reality through their official charity, the We Can Learn Foundation.
What Is We Can Learn?
The foundation was set up by Edmentum to ensure that all students around the world are given access to equitable learning opportunities through philanthropic giving and service.
The charity’s goals for 2019 are:
- Provide Edmentum programs for 100,000 students worldwide free of charge.
- Raise $100,000 to support efforts in educating children in the Nakivale Refugee Community in Uganda.
So, How Are We Helping?
To support the team at Edmentum with their 5k challenge, last week, 40+ of our team took part in our own 5k run, walk or cycle around Rutland Water, Oakham. Even our lovely International Team took part in their own 5k event in Dubai whilst visiting schools for training! (You can see some of our team in action below.)
Sponsorships are still coming in, but we’re super excited to reveal how much we have helped raise in total in the coming weeks – eek, keep your eyes peeled!
